Does it suit my skin and hair?
Skin types I to IV with dark blond to black hair: standard use. Skin type V: levels 1 or 2 only, after a patch test. Skin type VI: the skin sensor blocks the flash.
Not suitable for red, white, grey or light blond hair.

Fitzpatrick scale: type I always burns and never tans, type VI never burns and is always dark. Choose the tone closest to your natural colour, not your summer tan.
Hair colour on the area
IPL works on the pigment in the hair. Dark hair absorbs the light well; blond, red, grey and white hair barely absorb it, if at all. It's about the hair on the area you want to treat, not the hair on your head.

How does it work?
Treat your skin at home in three steps, at your own pace. Curious about the science behind it? Read exactly how IPL works
1Prepare
Shave the area 12 to 24 hours beforehand and make sure your skin is clean and dry. The skin sensor checks your skin tone with every flash.
2Flash
Move the Nova One IPL across the area. The ice cooling stays around 15 °C while flashing, so your skin stays cool.
3Soothe
Then apply the Laesera Aloe Vera Gel to cool and hydrate. No sun, sauna or intense exercise for the first 24 hours.

What exactly is in the set?
The Nova One IPL with the Standard Head, the Precision Head for small areas, the 150 ml Aloe Vera Gel, the power adapter, safety glasses, a razor, a cleaning cloth and the manual.
Why two heads?
The Standard Head has a large window and is faster on legs, arms, back and chest. The Precision Head has a smaller window for upper lip, jawline, underarms and bikini line.
Does it hurt?
You feel a brief warm tap. The window cools to around 15 °C while flashing. It's not completely painless; sensitive areas such as the bikini line are more noticeable.
When will I see results?
Often after 3 to 4 weeks. In the clinical test there was more than 80% hair reduction within a maximum of 7 weeks. After that you maintain the result with one treatment a month.
Does it work on my skin and hair?
Skin types I to IV with dark blond to black hair: standard use. Skin type V: levels 1 or 2 only, after a patch test. Skin type VI is blocked by the sensor. Not suitable for red, white, grey or light blond hair.
How long does the lamp last?
500,000 flashes per lamp; the screen counts down. After that you replace only the lamp; the device stays.
