Interchangeable heads
The Nova One IPL has interchangeable lamp heads: a patented design (CN patent) that lets you replace the head instead of the whole device. Switch between the Standard Head for large areas and the Precision Head for face and bikini line, each good for 500,000 flashes.
Why two heads?
One treatment window doesn't fit every area.
Too big for sensitive areas: a window that suits legs and back doesn't make full contact with the skin on the upper lip, jawline or the edge of the bikini line. No contact means no flash; the skin sensor blocks to protect you. You lose time and results fall short on precisely the areas where you want to see them.
Too small for large areas: a window that's perfect for the chin turns treating two legs into an hour-long session. Most users give up early, and the end result falls short of expectations.
The Nova One IPL works with two heads: the included Standard Head for speed on large areas, and the Precision Head (available separately or in the Complete Set) for control on small areas.

Which head do you use where?
Switch heads per area, not per session.
For speed: Standard Head
Treat large areas efficiently, in straight passes.
- Legs: lower and upper legs, in straight passes
- Arms: lower and upper arms
- Stomach: flat areas around the navel
- Back & chest: treat large surfaces efficiently
- Buttock crease & thighs: large, flat areas
For precision: Precision Head
Treat small or sensitive areas with maximum precision.
- Upper lip: below the cheekbones, intensity 1–2
- Chin & jawline: precisely along the natural line
- Underarms: anatomically hollow, needs a small window for full contact
- Bikini line: edges along the underwear, sensitive skin
- Fingers, knuckles, toes: small, irregular areas
Use the Precision Head only below the cheekbones. Never around the eyes, eyebrows or eyelashes. Always choose intensity level 1 or 2 and wear the included safety glasses. For facial treatments, also read the information about the skin sensor.

Which heads come with the Nova One IPL?
The Nova One IPL comes with one head: the Standard Head with a 3.9 cm² treatment window for large areas. The Precision Head is available separately and is included in the Complete Set; it has a smaller window (2.5 cm², about 36% smaller) for smaller and sensitive areas. Both heads work with the Nova One IPL's ice cooling and skin sensor.
When do I use the Standard Head and when the Precision Head?
Use the Standard Head for larger areas such as legs, arms, back and stomach; the larger window makes for a faster treatment. Use the Precision Head for smaller or sensitive areas such as the upper lip, jawline, bikini line edges and underarms, where you need more control and it's anatomically harder to make full skin contact with a large window. How long do the attachments last?
Each head has a lifespan of 500,000 flashes. In practice that's more than enough for years of consistent use according to the treatment schedule (twice a week in the build-up phase, then tapering down to maintenance). For most users the heads last as long as the device itself.
Does the Precision Head deliver less power or a less effective result?
No. The smaller window only changes the treatment surface, not the energy per flash. Per cm² of skin you get the same light dose as with the Standard Head, just on a smaller area at a time. The skin sensor and ice cooling work identically with both heads, so you keep the same safety and comfort on all areas.
Can I use the Precision Head on my face?
Yes, you can use the Precision Head on your face, provided you follow a few safety rules:
- Only below the cheekbones. Never use IPL above the cheekbones (around the eyes), for eye safety.
- Keep the intensity low (level 1–2) and wear the included safety glasses.
- Frequency: twice a week in the build-up phase, about 5 minutes per session.
