How does at-home IPL work?
In four steps to visibly less hair growth, without a salon.
Shave
Shave the area you want to treat. Smoothly shaven skin ensures that the light reaches the hair root directly.
Choose setting
The built-in skin sensor recognises your skin tone and automatically sets the correct energy level.
To treat
Place the device on your skin and flash zone by zone. The ice cooling technology makes the treatment virtually painless.
Result
After 4 to 8 weeks of weekly treatments, you will see noticeably less hair growth. After that, only maintenance every few weeks.

What customers say about IPL hair removal
Frequently asked questions about IPL vs salon
Is at-home IPL as effective as in-salon?
The technology is similar; both salons and at-home devices use IPL light pulses to reduce hair growth. The difference lies in the energy level: salons operate at a slightly higher intensity, which sometimes leads to results being visible 1-2 sessions faster. With an at-home device like the Nova One, you achieve the same end result, but you treat at your own pace. Most users see significantly reduced hair growth after 4 to 8 weeks of weekly treatment.
Are there any additional costs after purchasing an IPL device?
Hardly. The device itself only requires power. Each attachment has a lifespan of 500,000 flashes, which amounts to years of use with normal treatment. The only optional extra is the precision attachment for smaller areas such as the face and bikini line. For skincare after treatment, we recommend aloe vera gel, but this is not mandatory.
How long does an at-home IPL treatment take compared to a salon visit?
A complete treatment of both legs at home takes approximately 15-20 minutes. In a salon, including travel time, waiting, and the treatment itself, you'll easily spend 60-90 minutes. With 8 sessions, home treatment saves you about 6-10 hours of time.
